As a family member, when you see your loved one suffering and unable to get their life back on track, you may feel like you need to take action. We’re here to help you make sure that the actions you take in doing an intervention is successful.
Ensuring A Successful Intervention
When your loved one has caused anguish because of their addiction or mental health issues, we know you have tried everything you know to do. You want to help, yet begging, pleading, yelling, and demanding just hasn’t made a difference. You’re hurting and your loved one is, too.
At All About Interventions, we work with families to figure out the best time and the right steps to ensure a successful intervention.
Creating an Atmosphere of Love, Hope, and Acceptance
You don’t have to wait until your loved one hits “rock bottom.” You don’t want to wait. Sometimes rock bottom is death. Usually, there have been many things that have already happened, negative consequences like wrapping a car around a tree, getting multiple DUIs, failing out of school, losing a job. Even in the face of these negatives, the addiction continues on.
Instead, we work with you to create a positive crisis so that your loved one can get the help they need. This positive crisis is invitational, and it is for you as much as for the loved one in addiction or mental health crisis.
The Living Eulogy
One extremely important benefit to arranging one of our invitational interventions is that you will know that you did everything you possibly could in the event of something tragic happening.
The actual intervention is an opportunity to share your heart. You speak to the things that are special about your loved one as well as sharing what has happened that is causing your heart to hurt and what your hopes are going forward.
Most importantly, this “living eulogy “as a colleague of mind calls an intervention takes place while your loved one is still around and is designed to make you feel empowered as a family member.
A Collective Strategy, Not an Ambush
Our approach is strategic because we meticulously plan the event to make it successful and it’s collective because we bring together a large group of people.
What it’s not is an ambush like you may have seen on TV. Instead, we provide a way to break through the denial your loved one has built up and give them a way for them to share their heart.
If you’re worried about someone, trust your gut and don’t hesitate to give us a call and reach out for help. The sooner you get started, the better chance you have of making a difference in their life.
