During Driftwood Recovery’s Loved Ones Courageous Recovery Family Program, we take a strength-based, solution-focused approach to true family recovery.
We live in a complex world that demands our thoughtful attention and care. Inspired by my own qualitative, strength-based work as a social work professor, lecturer, clinician and author, (Falling UP, Learn To Thrive) as well as the work of social work researcher and best-selling author, Brene Brown (Rising Strong, Daring Greatly), we believe that all individuals have the possibility of becoming the men or women that they are meant to be, with the capacity to rewrite their biography and Rise Strong.
To help individuals and their families embrace recovery, we employ a variety of therapeutic strategies including:
We also demonstrate how Interventions (Invitations to Change) facilitate lasting change. We also explain what is meant by Trauma Informed Approaches and maintain a trauma-informed approach inherent in all of our treatments.
At Driftwood Recovery, our goal is to provide clients with new coping skills and tools which will unravel the reactive and sometimes controlling, shame-based behaviors that unwittingly help maintain the disease. We seek to create an opening for recovery by breaking the unspoken rules of “Don’t Talk, Don’t Trust, Don’t Feel.”
Our Loved Ones Courageous Recovery Family Program at Driftwood addresses the needs of Family, Friends, and Business associates so that everyone can recover.
